About NinaLove

Diva, Educator, Princess, Activist, Fashionista for the rest of us…Nina Love. Like many of us, I woke up one day to realize that I didn’t know who I was. I was pretending to be a corporate trainer on the fast track to career success and a slow heterosexual, monogamous death by boredom. So, in 2006 I left behind my cushy but confining corporate job at Johns Hopkins to become a full time Independent Consultant and Educator. After completely immersing myself in the alternative lifestyle community I could no longer deny that I fail to identify with any of the stereotypical BDSM terminology. I now rely heavily on communication and self expression to develop and maintain rich relationships with my “poly/leather family”, including: my Husband/Sir/Daddy/Best Friend/puppy daddy/jackass Arthur Hate and my girl Gwendolyn. Dressing for your body type: Part 1

By Nina Love

I’ve noticed that fetish fashion tends to be timeless. Let me explain. I’ve been in “the scene” for just about ten years. Fashion – main stream fashion that is – has changed, changed again, and again…and then changed back.

It’s summer in Florida already. The sweat and the makeup are pouring from my skin. It occurs to me, like a wet, humid slap in the face, that I need to make some adjustments to my makeup routine…

Fashionista Survival Kit

By Nina Love

If you are anything like me, you take your fashion seriously. Our style, after all, is a statement of identity and one of our greatest avenues for self expression. So, when I recently found myself at dinner with two of my favorite toy whores the topic of toy-bag essentials came up.

Emulation vs. Imitation

By Nina Love

I’m standing in my closet, staring aimlessly, hoping that something new will magically appear. Something sexy; something special; something that makes them say wow! Yes, it’s that time again. I’m getting ready to go to a fetish event

Sexy shoes, without pain

By Nina Love

Dear Nina
I’m new to the scene and it seems like EVERYONE wears heels, but they kill my feet within an hour and that is not that kind of pain I’m looking for on a Saturday night. Is it possible to find shoes that don’t hurt or am I destined to suffer?

You can’t wear that in a dungeon

By Nina Love

Where is there a rule that you have to wear fetish fashion to a kink event? Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE clothes, fashion and especially fetish fashion. You might say that I have a fashion fetish. But that’s me, not you.
