Something I truly love about being a member of smaller communities is that for the most part, we look after our own. When someone needs a ride to an event, people band together to help them out. Here in Denver, we have Leather Magick, a kink specific charity group that local dungeons (public and private) fundraise for.

Sometimes, the English language just fails me. Aside from the ridiculous issue of pronouns (I mean, really, do we need to have masculine and feminine pronouns when we conjugate everything in neutrality anyways?

I have an academic background; a bachelor’s in Sociology (and German), a Master’s in Human Sexuality Education. I love being queer, and most of the time, I love the queer community. However, I don’t like the policing that often goes on inside the queer community, and I’m now seeing similar policing happening in the kink community, and I’m sorry, but I think it is poppy cock!

As the holiday season near approaches, we have hit the mother load of assumptions about relationships. Where do these said assumptions often pop up? Why, in the addressing of holiday cards and party invites.
I know, this sounds like it may be a nit-picky type of rant, but I’m sick of having my own relationship not-acknowledged

On October 20th, millions of people wore purple. Some people changed their twitter or facebook pictures to be purple, people blogged and tweeted and talked and discussed all sorts of things about anti-LGBTQ bullying, about bullying as a whole.
